International standard for brewing tea:

The method consists in extracting of soluble substances in dried tea leaf, containing in a porcelain or earthenware pot, by means of freshly boiling water, pouring of the liquor into a white porcelain or earthenware bowl, examination of the organoleptic properties of the infused leaf, and of the liquid with or without milk or both.

This TED talk is billed as showing “jaw-dropping footage of amazing sea creatures”, and certainly lives up to this expectation. The octopus at the end is almost unbelievable.

Unlike most talks from TED, this is only five minutes long. Well worth the time.

This is going in my new office.

I currently have two desks – one in an office at home that I share with my wife, and one at the co-working space I share in town.

The desk at home is the epitome of chaotic clutter, with stacks of papers and books everywhere. The desk at the co-working space is almost Zen-like, a minimalist expanse of mostly empty desk space.

Partly because we are about to build a new house, which will include my own office, I am not motivated to sort out my disorganisation at home.

However I’m not really comfortable working at home at the moment. I’m definately more Steve Jobs than Al Gore.
